West Plains, MO. – As covered in our previous article, a large number of emergency vehicles were spotted at the West Plains Motel Friday afternoon.
According to a release of information from the city, officers were dispatched to West Plains Motel room for a well-being check. While officers were on scene the subject refused medical assistance. Officers stepped outside, and upon leaving the building, a gun shot was heard coming from the room. Upon reentry officers discovered the subject with an apparent self-inflected gunshot wound.

The coroner was contacted and the subject was pronounced deceased at the scene. Investigation showed no foul play was involved.
