At approximately 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, Mountain Home Police Department responded to a shooting at a local apartment complex. The victim in the incident was transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center. The victim was then transported to a Little Rock hospital. On 11/25/2020 Mountain Home Police Department was notified the victim died from the injuries sustained in the incident.
As a result of the investigation Savannah Wren, 21, of Mountain Home was taken into custody. Wren was originally charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit 2nd Degree Murder, a Class B Felony, and placed in Baxter County Jail with a $150,000 Bond. Following the death of the victim the charge was upgraded to 2nd Degree Murder, a Class A Felony, and the bond was increased to $500,000.
Agencies involved in the investigation were the Arkansas State Police and Mountain Home Police Department.
