Update on Texas County Homicide; Suspect in Custody Following Investigation & Search

Texas County, MO. – The Texas County Sheriff’s Office, with help from the Howell County SWAT Team, and the Houston Police Department, have apprehended the prime suspect involved in the recent homicide of Nikki Goodchild of Eunice, MO.

On March 29th, a search warrant was served at a residence on Pine Flat Drive near the residence of Nikki Goodchild. During the search Joshua Goodchild, 43 was arrested, and evidence was found implicating Joshua in the homicide. Joshua is the brother of Nikki’s husband, and her husband was working at a nearby place of business during the homicide.

Joshua Goodchild is being charged with Murder in the 1st Degree, Armed Criminal Action, Burglary in the 1st Degree, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
