USDA Invests Nearly $3.9 Million in Missouri Meat and Poultry Processing Projects

U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Missouri State Director Ben Baker announced that USDA will invest nearly $3.9 million in eight Missouri meat processing projects through the Meat and Poultry Processing Expansion Program (MPPEP) Phase 4.

“With Missouri proudly ranking in the top five nationwide for recent MPPEP investments, it’s clear our independent meat processors are vital economic powerhouses for our rural communities,” said Baker. “These strategic investments do more than just expand local capacity—they champion local choice and independence. We are building a fiercely competitive market, creating an unbreakable supply chain, and ensuring our livestock producers have the robust, dependable market access they deserve.”
