UTV Rear-End Crash Leads to Fatality of Koshkonong Native

Thomasville, MO. – A UTV-involved crash that took place on the evening of Friday, September 20th, has led to the fatal injury of one 75-year-old Koshkonong native man.

Information was provided by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, who say that the lone injury in this crash, Glen Trantham, was the result of a Ford Escape colliding with the rear of a Kubota UTV on US 160 near Thomasville.

Trantham was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash. However, the driver of the opposing vehicle, 49-year-old Alton resident Joy Barton, was found to be intoxicated at the time of the crash and has received criminal charges as a result.

Troop G say this is their 17th fatality this year, compared to 24 this time last year.
