Eight Utility Terrain Vehicles (UTV) and one all-terrain vehicle (ATV) were stolen early Sunday (12/27) morning from Mega Motorsports, 3874 US Hwy 63, in West Plains.
Six of the stolen vehicles belonged to the store and two belonged to customers. Two of the vehicles were recovered Sunday morning, another was found this morning (12/28) destroyed in the Mark Twain National Forest.
According to a Howell County Sheriff’s report, the thieves cut the lock on a gate, removed the gate and drove the vehicles out of the parking lot and down a dirt road between 4:30 a.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday morning.
The estimated value of the stolen vehicles is $80,000.
