Van Buren Man Faces Felony Charge for Alleged Christmas Eve Threat

Van Buren Police were alerted of an active shooter threat on Christmas Eve at Main Street Market. A female subject told police that the suspect, Matthew Travis, sent her messages during an argument saying that he was going to get a gun and  “shoot everyone at the store”. Travis was arrested for first degree harassment and making a terroristic threat, third degree. Bond hearing is set for January 30.
