Vanzant driver seriously injured in Wednesday crash

West Plains, MO. – A Vanzant man was airlifted from the scene of a crash on Wednesday in Douglas County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 11:38 a.m. on November 1st on Highway W, two miles southeast of Vanzant.

A northbound Ford Escape driven by Jay Williams, age 60, ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned. The vehicle was totaled in the crash and Williams suffered serious injuries. He was taken by Cox Health Air Care to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
