West Plains, MO. – An event planned around informing veterans about the full scope of benefits they’ve earned through their service has been planned in the West Plains area later this month.
This will happen on September 17th at the West Plains Civic Center at 4pm. This is being put on by the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center.
Organizers say that the reason for this “Veteran Town Hall” as it’s labeled, is happening because many veterans aren’t aware of the full benefits provided to them through VA.
Outreach booths covering a variety topics will be available, and free blood pressure checks will be offered as well.
Lastly, a question-and-answer session with local VA staff will also take place, giving those who attend a chance to ask questions they may have.
