Vital Farms, a Certified B Corporation known for its commitment to improving the lives of people, animals, and the planet through food, has partnered with the Community Foundation of the Ozarks (CFO) to launch the Vital Farms Local Impact Grantmaking Program. This initiative, with a total of $125,000 available, aims to support local projects that positively impact the communities where its network of more than 425 family farmers live and work throughout Missouri.
The Vital Farms Local Impact Grantmaking Program is open to 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations, as well as entities with similar tax-exempt status, such as school districts, government entities, and faith-based organizations. The program will support projects that improve the quality of life for people, animals, and the environment in the 22 counties where Vital Farms’ farmers operate throughout Missouri, including Adair, Bates, Benton, Cedar, Cooper, Dade, Dallas, Greene, Howard, Howell, Laclede, Lawrence, Moniteau, Morgan, Oregon, Pettis, Polk, St. Clair, Texas, Vernon, Webster, and Wright counties.
Applications for grants will be accepted until 11:45 p.m. on May 14, 2025. The grants are supported by the Vital Farms Corporate Grantmaking Fund, held by the CFO.
Vital Farms, based in Springfield, Missouri, operates its award-winning egg washing and packaging facility, Egg Central Station, which plays a crucial role in providing the leading U.S. brand of pasture-raised eggs by retail dollar sales. The company’s support of local communities through this grant program further strengthens its relationship with Missouri farmers and their families.
Organizations interested in applying for a grant can visit the CFO’s grant application portal at cfozarks.org/applyforgrants. The program will close on May 14, so applicants are encouraged to start the process as soon as possible.
