W.P.: Mayor issues Civil Emergency Proclamation

The City of West Plains held an emergency city council meeting at 11 a.m. Friday. During the meeting, the council voted to allow Mayor Jack Pahlmann the ability to declare a civil emergency. The civil emergency goes into effect at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, March 28, and will last through 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, April 15.

The order prohibits social gatherings of ten(10) or more people in West Plains, allows the public to only leave their residence for essential activities, urges people at higher health risks to stay home and allows essential workers to travel to their place of employment.
