Wanted Felon Captured Near Gentryville Following Manhunt

Gentryville, MO. – On Saturday, August 26th, the man wanted in both Douglas and Wright Counties  for multiple cases of burglary and evading law enforcement was found and taken into custody following a standoff.

Dalton Hall, 30 of Cabool, was posted about online by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office after being found to have connection to a string of theft and burglary cases in both Wright and Douglas County. Hall had initially escaped capture, but additional information was obtained on his whereabouts.

On Saturday, both Hall and another individual were located in an abandoned house North of Gentryville, which led to a short standoff. Hall was eventually taken into custody after a struggle. The second individual was Mary Preece, who had been previously warned of the ramifications of harboring Hall. She was then taken into custody and is expected to face appropriate criminal charges.

Hall was initially wanted for multiple counts of 2nd Degree Burglary and one count of Felony Property Damage, but will likely face additional charges.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office went on to state that over 200 working hours went into this investigation and arrest, and other involved agencies include the Multi-Jurisdictional Task Force, the Wright County Special Operations Group, the Ozark County Sheriff’s Office, the Howell County Sheriff’s Office, and the Mountain Grove Police Department.
