Wanted West Plains man arrested for failure to appear on Catalytic Converter theft charges

West Plains, MO. – A West Plains man that is charged with multiple felonies dealing with stealing catalytic converters was arrested last month after failing to appear in court. 

Danny Bearden, age 43 of West Plains, is being held at the Howell County Jail with a total bond of $130,500 cash or surety. Bearden is charged with 14 counts of stealing – catalytic converter, five counts of 1st-degree property damage, two counts of stealing $750 or more, forgery, and 2nd-degree burglary.

Bearden was initially arrested in June of 2022 on the previously mentioned charges. The accused was released on a $15,000 bond but failed to appear for a September 2022 court date and a warrant was issued.
