West Plains, MO. – A Wappapello woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash near Van Buren on Tuesday. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred at 11:39 a.m. on US 60, seven miles east of Van Buren.
A Chevy Malibu driven by Sahara Schaefers, age 21 of Wappapello, failed to yield while crossing US 60 and was struck by a westbound Ford F350 driven by Kenneth Lesesne, age 64 of Blue Ridge, Georgia, totaling both vehicles.

Lesesne was not reported as being injured in the crash. Schaefers suffered serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.
