The City of Thayer, in coordination with the Thayer Police Department and Thayer Fire Department, has announced ongoing water and sewer construction in the Brewer Street area. Stewart Construction will be conducting work over the next few days, including boring underneath Highway 63 from Brewer Street to extend water and sewer services to the old western store property.
Boring operations are expected to be completed by Friday evening, but additional work will continue beyond this timeframe. Due to the nature of the construction, traffic in the area will be impacted, and road closures may occur at certain times. Residents and commuters are advised to avoid the area if possible, except for those living within the construction zone.
