From the West Plains Area Farmers Market
Paul Chateauvert, president of West Plains Area Farmers Market’s (WPAFM) board of directors, announced the market will have special hours this week.
Due to inclement weather forecasted for Wed., Oct. 30, and the comfort of our guests, the outdoor market is canceled.
The market will resume operations on Sat., Nov. 2 for the regularly-scheduled market and to participate in the popular “Artisans of the Ozarks … First Saturdays” event hosted by Wages Brewing Company and Taproom.
“Artisans of the Ozarks” is an event Wages Brewing hosts the first Sat. of every month to bring the community together and to showcase local farmers, artists and artisans. The event is free to attend and is held from 12 – 5 pm in Wage’s ‘biergarten’ space.
WPAFM vendors will set-up their tables outside of Wages at 9 am Sat. morning and will stay until 5 pm. Wages is located at East Towne Village.
WPAFM offers fresh locally-grown organic vegetables, non-GMO eggs, fresh homemade preserves, jams, jellies, syrups and specialty butters, local raw unfiltered honey, USDA inspected pasture-fed beef and cured, smoked pork products, a variety of freshly-baked muffins and gluten-free muffins, bakery-styled sweet treats, desserts and artisan breads, and homemade granola.
Non-food items include vibrant-colored hair wand scrunchies, hand-crafted indoor and outdoor weather-resistant signs, washable and durable homemade tote bags, colorful bowl cozies, handcrafted jewelry, creative crochet items, special road trip pillows, scented and unscented Sandi’s Soaps made with goat’s milk, Sandi’s Kitchen Angels, Sandi’s Blankets, Sandi’s Bookmarks, unique and festive holiday items, plus more.
All market products are locally-grown, locally-produced and baked goods are homemade.
The market is located at East Towne Village, 1380 Bill Virdon Blvd., West Plains, across the street from Dollar General. The market is open from 9 am to 1 pm every Wed. and Sat. until Nov. 30 when the markets will be held indoors and only on Sat. mornings
