West Plains, MO. – On this week’s update on the West Plains Arts Alliance we talked to Terry Hampton about two events within West Plains; a workshop for young creatives wishing to polish their skills, and a musical show taking place at the historic Avenue Theatre.
At the Avenue Theatre, local performers are gearing up to put on a big performance in the form of the classic stage performance written by Howard Ashman: The Little Shop of Horrors. This show features a protagonist who adopts an alien plant with a taste for man, and the chaos that ensues from housing the dangerous flora. It is described as a horror-comedy. Shows begin this week on June 23rd. See more information at https://theavenuetheatre.org/.
A workshop is being held for young writers at the West Plains Public Library in July, which was covered in a previous article. You can learn more about this by clicking here.
