West Plains, MO. – This week’s March update from the West Plains Arts Alliance with Terry Hampton, covers some points of interest for the city, including an anniversary, and a favorite yearly event for many in the area. All of these events are focused on the West Plains Civic Center.
On Thursday, the West Plains Civic Center will be celebrating it’s 30th birthday. This event will be free and open to the public in the lobby of the Civic Center, and is scheduled from 4pm to 6pm.
Friday, from 11am to 12pm, there will be a book signing from the author of “Bill Virdon: A Life in Baseball”, which is a biography which follows the experiences of this famous player. The author’s name is David Jerome. This event is also free for the public to attend.
Lastly, on Saturday, from 5:30pm to 8pm, Brewfest will be returning to the Civic Center Exhibit Hall, where many local vendors of various brews will be showing off their wares and allowing attendees to sample them. Tickets are available online or at the Civic Center.
