West Plains, MO. – 2023 is nearly over. Only this month and December remain for the year. With that, we are also getting closer and closer to the big celebration surrounding next year’s eclipse.
With that, Terry Hampton gives us information on two events happening at the West Plains Civic Center that are meant to hype up the coming celestial event, happening at the same day and time.

This Thursday, a NASA ambassador will be giving a presentation on safe sun-viewing practices with a sun-filter telescope. In addition, local students will be the star of a reception happening on the Mezzanine, which showcases a solar system model built by the students, who are currently studying Earth Sciences at West Plains High School.
