West Plains, MO. – We’re now officially in the first week of April, and aside from the usual storms that pop up, the weather is beautiful and a great motivator to get outside and enjoy the Ozarks.
In this update from the West Plains Arts Alliance, Terry Hampton tells us about events going on at the Ozark Heritage Welcome Center.
The first is about a scavenger hunt going on in April, which requires individuals to visit three West Plains parks, take a photo of their visit, and post it to the Explore West Plains Facebook page. One person will be selected as a winner, and will receive a mystery prize.
Secondly, a reminder has been issued to keep a lookout for preparations for a big event coming up this time next year. Saturday marks the day for us to be one year out from the total eclipse of 2024, which will bring in people from many locations to view this celestial event. According to Terry, a 4-day celebration is being planned.
