West Plains, MO. – The West Plains Schools Board of Education will have multiple seats up for election in April of next year, according to the recent school board report. School board members Christena Coleman and Lee Freeman are in their final year of a three-year term and Reid Grigsby will finish the final year of former board member Courtney Beykirch’s three year term in April.
Board candidate election filing opens at 8 a.m. on December 6, 2022 and runs through December 27, 2022 at 5 p.m. To learn more about the board, visit zizzers.org.
Additionally during the school board meeting, new hires were approved. The new hires include six teachers, one business position, paraprofessional, full-time and substitute bus driver, and head girls soccer coach.
The next West Plains Board of Education meeting will be held on December 13, 2022 at 6 p.m. in the West Plains High School Library.
