West Plains Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Banquet Held on Thursday, Jan. 18

West Plains, MO. – The annual awards banquet and ceremony for the West Plains Chamber of Commerce was held this past Thursday, January 18th. There, various members of the community and businesses were recognized for their actions in 2023.

The award for Educator of the Year went to Angela Phipps, who has 15 years of education experience.

The Customer Service Award went to Hibby’s Bar and Grille.

Volunteer of the Year went to three individuals, Dennis Lancaster, Eric Gibson, and Joe Kammerer.

The 2023 Citizen of the Year award went to Terry Sanders.

Ken Joplin was recognized as the 2023 Honorary Member for Life.

An award for 2023 Nonprofit Organization of the Year was given to The Chaos Closet.

Tracy Jo Hollis Cooper took home the Humanitarian of the Year award.

Tonya and Crockett Oaks were given the City Beautification Award for their part in adding more art to West Plains and renovating Lincoln School.

A 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Ron Grennan for his role in the Kiwanis Club, his work with the school system, the Chamber of Commerce, and the 911 Advisory Board.

The Chamber Business of the Year trophy was awarded to West Plains Bank & Trust Company.
