Pomona, MO. – A vehicle is totaled and the driver has been hospitalized following an overturn crash on Highway 63, 2 miles North of Pomona.
Corporal J.D. Wheeler of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G was the responding investigator of this crash that occurred at roughly 5:45 pm yesterday, August 23rd. In assistance was Master Sergeant R.M. Greenan.
Kristen Smallwood, 27, was driving Southbound in a Hyundai Sonata when she left the left side of the roadway. She then traveled down the embankment, struck a concrete cube, went airborne, struck signs from MoDOT, and then overturned.
Smallwood was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash and had to be transported to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment. Her injuries were listed as being serious in severity.
