West Plains Driver Seriously Injured in Northern Missouri Crash

Vandalia, MO. – A 24-year-old West Plains driver has been seriously injured in a crash that occurred in the Northern part of Missouri.

This crash happened at the intersection of Route F and Missouri Highway 154 near Vandalia. The time of the accident was 1:10pm on Tuesday, December 20th. According to the report, Lakoda Gorskey, 24 of West Plains, failed to stop his vehicle, a Chevy Silverado, at the intersection and struck a Westbound vehicle.

The second vehicle was another Chevy Silverado driven by Gerald Vanstrien, 79 of Perry, MO. Both drivers were wearing their safety device, with Vanstrien suffering moderate injuries and Gorskey being inflicted with serious injuries.

Gorskey was transported by Air Evac for treatment to the University Hospital in Columbia.

Investigation and report were services by Master Sergeant McGivney from Troop B of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
