West Plains extends Civil Emergency Order through March 2021

The City of West Plains has extended a state of civil emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic through March 31, 2021.

The Order was originally issued by Mayor Jack Pahlmann Saturday, June 20, with the intent of slowing the spread of the virus within the City of West Plains. Businesses and services in the city will continue to operate. The order was set to expire December 31, 2020 but has been extended through March 2021.

Per the Emergency Order, all individuals must adhere to Ordinance 4672, which mandates face coverings and strongly encourages six-foot distancing recommendations. Citizens are also encouraged to utilize proper hygiene, including frequent hand washing. Ordinance 4672 runs through February 2 unless extended or rescinded.
