West Plains, MO. – The West Plains Fire Department will be hosting a Car Seat Inspection and Class in conjunction with the Howell County Health Department tomorrow. This course & inspection will show individuals the correct way to install and use their child safety seat, as well as making sure they are good for everyday use.
From the Health Departments page on Child Passenger Safety:
“Over 70% of child safety seats are installed incorrectly! The Howell County Health Department is an inspection station for child safety seats and has 4 certified CPS technicians on staff. Technicians can help parents / caregivers by educating them on the correct installation of their car seat. The Health Department can also help families in need, who are enrolled in the Women, Infant, and Children nutrition program (WIC) by providing one car seat per family.”
This event will be happening tomorrow in West Plains at Fire Station #1, 1901 Kissinger Street, from 11am to 1pm.
