West Plains First Renaissance & Fantasy Festival Taking Place This Weekend

West Plains, MO. – Local festivals celebrating the times of the past are not a new thing in the Ozarks. Whether it’s the pioneer era, the Civil War era, or otherwise. But this weekend, West Plains will see an event that goes further into the past and cracks into fantasy with OzFaire.

This Renaissance Festival is set to begin this Saturday at 9 and will happen again on Sunday at the same time. The location is the Heart of the Ozarks Bluegrass Association (HOBA) Park.

Organizers are excited to share this experience with those in the surrounding area, giving them a taste of times long past. Included are live music, themed games, armored combat, presentations, and crafts.

Always a Future for Kids, or AFK is the organizing party for this event, meaning proceeds will be going to local nonprofits who assist children in the area.

If you have an interest in swords and sorcery, or accents and armor, swing by and support the event. General admission is $10 per person, and kids 8 and older are $5. Children younger than that get in free.
