West Plains, MO. – The 11th Annual Heart of the Ozarks Half-Marathon will be happening on February 18th at 7:30am.
This annual event was founded for the purpose of raising money to support running programs within West Plains Schools. The Half-Marathon is expected to bring in participants from 10 or more states, and will start at the Historic Post Office at 204 East Main Street in West Plains.
This event will also include a relay, and a special event known as Mindy’s Run, where proceeds will go toward a local child currently battling cancer. Mindy’s Run is a 2.5 mile “fun-run” that was founded in honor of a West Plains alumni who lost their life in their own battle with cancer.
