West Plains High School and Gas Station Vandalized with Spray Paint

West Plains, MO. – The West Plains High School was the target of acts of vandalism on Friday morning. Staff arrived to the building to discover that someone had spray painted the outside of the school.

The school released a statement on the vandalism, noting “The safety of our students and staff is a top priority, and the district is cooperating with local law enforcement. An investigation is underway. Acts of vandalism are taken seriously, and appropriate actions will be enforced.”

The Casey’s Convenience Store located near the high school on St. Louis Street had also been targeted by spray painting vandals this morning. The business had spray paint on a window and red spray paint used on one of the gas pumps. 

Both organizations are cooperating with the West Plains Police Department as the matter is investigated. Those who may have information on the vandalism or those who committed the act may contact the W.P.P.D. at 417-256-2244.
