West Plains man arrested following child exploitation investigation

On Wednesday, March 3, agents with the Southwest Cyber Crime Task Force conducted a suspect interview in Wright County during a child exploitation investigation. During the suspect interview, a West Plains man was implicated in the commission of crimes involving a minor child and child pornography.

Task Force investigators made contact with the West Plains man on Thursday, March 4, and interviewed him as part of the investigation. During the interview, the male implicated his involvement with the crimes which involved a minor male child.

The male suspect, identified as 45-year-old Kenneth Worthy of West Plains was taken into custody and transported to the Howell County Jail. Formal charges were filed by the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office on Friday, March 5. Those charges include one count of Statutory Sodomy, 1st Degree Child Molestation, 1st Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Incest.

Worthy is currently being held in the Howell County Jail without bond.
