Willow Springs, MO – An intoxicated West Plains man injures himself and four others in a Saturday morning crash near Willow Springs. The accident occurred at 6:30 a.m. October 16, 2021 on U.S. 60/63 in Willow Springs.
A 2022 Toyota 4Runner driven by Randy Roberts, 53 of West Plains, was driving the wrong way in the eastbound lane of US 60/63 and struck an eastbound 2020 Jeep Wrangler driven by Alyssa Fulmer, 19 of Plato, MO, who had three passengers in the vehicle. Both vehicles were totaled in the crash.
Fulmer and a 17-year-old male passenger suffered serious injuries and were airlifted to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield. Another passenger of the Jeep, Jack Morrison, 20 of Lynchburg, MO, had minor injuries and was taken by private vehicle to Cox South. A 17-year-old female passenger of the Jeep was taken to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for treatment of moderate injuries.
Randy Roberts was charged with Felony Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Revoked, four counts of Felony 2nd Degree Assault, and Driving the Wrong Direction on Highway Divided into two or More Roadways Resulting in Traffic Crash. The Highway Patrol report states Roberts had been released.
