West Plains man arrested on charges of terroristic threats

West Plains, MO. – A West Plains man was arrested on Thursday, September 14th after allegedly threatening to shoot multiple people including his ex-wife and court employees.

Blake Osgood, age 38, was charged with first-degree terroristic threat and was being held in the Howell County Jail without bond.

According to law enforcement, they responded to a residence near West Plains for a child custody dispute. According to the probable cause statement, the officer said that Osgood made a statement in regard to, “They don’t want to make me go grab my stuff and start killing people”, specifying court employees and not law enforcement.

Following the suspect’s arrest, a search of his vehicle uncovered a firearm, ammunition, and body armor. 

The case against Osgood was deemed not of public record following a bond reduction hearing on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.
