West Plains Man Charged & Seriously Injured After Intoxicated Crash

Caulfield, MO. – A West Plains man has found himself on crash reports as a serious injury, and on arrest reports for multiple charges after he crashed his vehicle on Highway 160 at 11:20pm last night.

This January 5th crash occurred 3 miles East of Caulfield, according to the report from Trooper A.K. Falterman of the Highway Patrol. A Chevy Silverado had traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck both a fence and a tree before coming to rest.

Matthew Dodson, 28 of West Plains, was identified as the driver, unbuckled and seriously injured.

The investigation had also revealed Dodson was intoxicated at the time of the crash, leading to charges of Driving While Intoxicated, Resulting in a Crash, Driving While Suspended, and No Insurance.

Dodson was released for medical treatment, and was taken to Ozarks Healthcare for recovery.
