West Plains Man Charged With Failure to Register as a Sex Offender

A Howell County man was arrested Tuesday morning after deputies say he failed to meet Missouri’s sex‑offender registration requirements.

According to a probable cause statement, Deputy Michael Lewis stopped 36‑year‑old Matthew Allen Eason on U.S. Highway 160 for a no‑plate‑light violation. A MULES check showed Eason’s driver’s‑license address didn’t match his registry address, and deputies also determined he had not registered the vehicle he’s been driving daily.
