West Plains Man Charged With Robbery, Assault

West Plains, MO. – A West Plains man has been charged with Stealing, 3rd Degree Domestic Assault, and has been issued  a $25,000 bond after an investigation of events on November 22nd.

Connor Burns of the Howell County Sheriff’s Office worked this case, in which he was dispatched to the scene of a domestic assault. He made contact with a female resident, who relayed the story of what happened.

Andrew Wood of West Plains had gotten into an altercation with the female resident, after he asked about drugs he had left in the house. She stated that she had thrown the drugs away, which led to Wood stealing $260 out of her pocket. This led to the residents injury and Wood fleeing the scene after.

Andrew was later found and admitted to taking the money and some of the violence. The money was found on his person.
