Willow Springs, MO. – A vehicle was totaled and its driver has been issued felony charges following an accident yesterday evening at roughly 5:18.
Joshua Shelton, 37 of West Plains, MO, was driving a 2004 Dodge Stratus on Route U, when he ran off the left side of the roadway roughly 8 miles East of Willow Springs. After leaving the roadway, the vehicle struck a power pole, which was repaired in the aftermath by Howell Oregon Electric Co-Op.
Shelton was uninjured, but his occupant, Brandon Anderson, 28 of West Plains, was moderately injured in the crash. Neither were wearing their safety devices.
Anderson was treated at Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains, and Shelton was later charged with Felony Warrant Domestic Assault, and Felony Driving While Intoxicated.
