A West Plains man was killed in a rollover crash on Saturday morning. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred on Route ZZ, 8 miles east of West Plains at 4:40 a.m. on Dec. 23, 2023.
An eastbound Jeep Cherokee driven by 20-year-old Taylor Hamby ran off the road in a curve, striking three fences before overturning in a field. One passenger of the vehicle, 28-year-old Brian Powell was killed in the crash. The driver and two other passengers, Dakota Weet and Calvin Brashers, both 18, suffered moderate injuries and were taken to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment.
