West Plains, MO. – At around midnight this morning, the West Plains Police Department made an announcement to the public regarding an unfortunate situation in West Plains involving the death of an infant.
According to the release, the PD say they, as well as West Plains Fire & Rescue, and the South Howell County Ambulance, responded to a medical emergency situation on Burke Avenue in West Plains. They state an infant was reported as not breathing, and that despite both bystander and professional assistance, the infant was unable to be resuscitated.

They went on to state investigation on the death is currently active and being conducted.
