West Plains PD Issue Statement on August 29th Assault

West Plains, MO. – The West Plains Police department have issued an official statement regarding an arrest that has taken place over an assault on August 29th.

Police say that officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Preacher Roe Boulevard for an assault, and an investigation determined that a male subject had been assaulted, with clear injuries. The man, however, refused medical treatment and did not wish to pursue charges.

The follow day, video evidence of the assault was collected which led to the identification of Levi Hodgson of West Plains being the perpetrator of the assault. The case has since been sent to the West Plains Municipal Prosecutor’s Office in order to seek a charge of Peace Disturbance.

The PD go on to say that criminal charges, and any discussion thereof are merely allegations, and that all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
