West Plains PD Makes Drug Trafficking Arrest Wednesday

West Plains, MO. – The West Plains Police Department performed an arrest earlier this week in West Plains that led to the confiscation of various controlled substances and 1st Degree Drug Trafficking charges.


On March 13, 2024, the West Plains Police Department obtained a narcotics related search warrant for a residence in the 2700 Block of Burke Avenue, West Plains, Missouri. During the course of the investigation, the female suspect was observed leaving the residence in a vehicle and was believed to be distributing illegal narcotics at that time.

A traffic stop was conducted in the 1300 block of Preacher Roe Boulevard on the suspect vehicle and K9 Tito alerted to the presence of illicit substances within the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and officers located approximately 4 ounces of suspected methamphetamine. Drug paraphernalia related to the distribution of controlled substances was also located within the vehicle.

Officers then executed the search warrant of the residence where more suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia was located. One female was taken into custody pending charges of Trafficking Drugs 1st Degree, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana, and three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child Involving Drugs 1st Degree.
