As the first day of fall arrives, the West Plains Public Library is rolling out a full month of children’s programming for October. The lineup begins Oct. 1 with an Owl‑Themed Story Night from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., featuring a themed story, fall trail mix, and a drawing for an owl quilt handmade by longtime patron Barbara Freeman.
An early Halloween Celebration is set for Oct. 30 from 4 to 5 p.m., where the library will hand out free books and candy while supplies last. The month wraps up Oct. 31 with a Special Saturday Story Time from 10 to 11 a.m. led by Mrs. Patty Goss.
