West Plains, MO. – An old, familiar scene is unfolding this week at the West Plains Public Library. Officially starting in 1981 and still around today are Scholastic Book Fairs, with this one starting today and continuing through the week.
This book fair is scheduled to take place throughout normal Public Library hours, today through Friday, with a special day on Friday with extended hours, giving parents and their families a chance to come in after work and school to take part.
All purchases made through this book fair will go toward benefiting the Children’s Department of the West Plains Library. The current goal for this book fair is to sell 625 books to the public, as well as to spark an interest in reading with both younger and older audiences.
