West Plains Public Library Hosting Ghost Stories Event For Halloween

West Plains, MO. – The West Plains Public Library has announced plans to host a Halloween event for the community.

On October 29, 2024, the library will hold a special event titled “Ghost Stories and Halloween Trickery” at 6 p.m. in the Community Room. Marideth Sisco—journalist, author, musician, and folklore expert—will deliver a captivating presentation featuring stories rich in Ozarks culture and history.

For those unfamiliar with her work, Marideth Sisco hosts the public radio show “These Ozark Hills” and contributed to the award-winning film Winter’s Bone.
