West Plains, MO. – Several organizations are prepping for the upcoming October Dolly & Porter Days festival in West Plains, organized by West Plains Downtown. In an update from the West Plains Arts Alliance and Explore West Plains, Terry Hampton speaks about a fiber arts show that’ll be put on during the event.
The Rags to Art Fiber Art Show asks those who stitch, sew, or otherwise with fiber arts to create and compete. Pieces entered will be showed during the Dolly & Porter Days event and entries will be taken September 24th and 25th, and the 28th through the 30th at the Ozark Heritage Welcome Center.
There is a cost to enter a piece at $5 per piece, and there is a cash prize for the top three pieces entered. There is a limit of three pieces per entrant. First place nets $100, with second place being $75, and third being $50.
Dolly and Porter Days will happen on October 2nd on the square in West Plains.
