West Plains, MO. – A 35-year-old West Plains resident has been charged with intoxicated driving, after being seriously injured in a crash on Friday, November 25th.
Jennifer Truman, the subject of the reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, was driving a 2012 Chevy Cruze Westbound on County Road 6070, just outside the West Plains city limits.
She crashed around 9:40 PM when she traveled off the roadway and struck a tree. She was not wearing her safety device and sustained serious injuries. She was then flown to Cox South in Springfield for treatment.
An investigation revealed Truman was under the influence while driving, and has been charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Careless and Imprudent Driving Resulting in an Accident, and No Seat Belt.
This accident was investigated by Corporal C.A. Kimes of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G.
