West Plains, MO. – The West Plains School District Communications Office received a national award from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) for district programs, materials, and multiple forms of communications. The communications office received the award for its video series “We Are Zizzers,” celebrating Zizzer tradition featuring staff, teachers, administrators, students, parents, and community members. NSPRA’s 2022 National School Communication Award winners were announced earlier this month.
NSPRA’s Publications and Digital Media Excellence Awards are for outstanding work in educational communications, including print and digital publications, video, audio, websites, social media, and more.
Lana Snodgras is the director of communications for the West Plains School District. She has been leading the district’s communication efforts for over 12 years. “The award reflects our amazing teachers, students, and staff for providing the opportunity to tell stories about their incredible work. Strong communication efforts and effective family and community engagement are a top priority for our district as outlined in our strategic plan,” said Snodgras. “I am extremely proud of the district’s communication efforts and happy to have such a supportive team.”
