West Plains School District Receives Annual Performance Report

West Plains, MO. – The West Plains R-VII School District has received their latest scores for Spring of 2022 from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

The Missouri DESE issues these performance reports to review scores of different districts based on performance and improvement of the students.

Overall as a district, West Plains received an overall score of 73.9% of the points available, with individual scores ranging widely. South Fork Elementary scored the highest with a score of 89.3%. The West Plains High School was next highest, with a flat 75%. The Middle School was next at 66.4%, and the Elementary was last at 34.1%.

Amy Ross, the Assistant Superintendent of the West Plains School District has stated their big focuses on improvement are attendance and academic scores, with an emphasis on the Elementary and Literacy.
