West Plains Senior Center announces Grand Re-Opening for July 2nd

West Plains, MO – The COVID-19 pandemic hit our nations’ senior population hard. From being the group most vulnerable to the virus to distancing themselves from family to keep exposure down and the depression that can follow, our elder community in the Ozarks has experienced a difficult year. Now, with people getting vaccinated and warmer weather, the pandemic is coming to a close and our community is able to see a return to normalcy. With post-pandemic days upon us, Ozark Radio News sat down with Joy Pace, administrator and activities director of the West Plains Senior Center, to discuss upcoming events.

Beginning July 1, 2021, the West Plains Senior Center will be fully open again for activities and sit-down meals. The Senior Center had their soft opening earlier this month, with activities open. The West Plains Senior Center will have a Grand Re-Opening event on Friday, July 2, 2021. Joy Pace talks about the event.
