West Plains, Mo. – A West Plains teen was injured in an ATV crash Monday night. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred on County Road 1280, two miles northeast of West Plains at 6:10 p.m.
A 2012 Honda Rancher driven by Bob Estes, 33 of West Plains, struck an object in the roadway and overturned. Estes was not injured in the crash but his 13-year-old male passenger suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment.

Neither Estes or his passenger had been wearing safety devices.
