West Plains, MO. – Last month in August, the West Plains Walmart closed off half its parking lot due to an unexpected sinkhole developing on the pharmacy side.
Just yesterday, officials with the business announced that the last bit of asphalt was being laid for the full repair of that section. While the area was still blocked off as of yesterday, the fresh black surface shows that a full reopening of the lot will be happening soon, after stripes have been painted.

Officials also wished to thank the public for their patience during the closure, and many individuals are expressing relief that regular traffic in that area has been resumed.
